I have been teaching science to a range of abilities for over 14 years. This, coupled with middle and senior leadership experience, has provided me with the expertise to produce concise and engaging lessons. I specialise in Biology at GSCE, but produce resources for all strands of science at KS3 and KS4. I have been focusing on the AQA Grade 9-1 GCSE Trilogy, to create learning and revision resources that match the current specification.

In this activity, students consider the factors affecting how far a football travels when it is kicked/headed/thrown in a game of football and the benefits and drawbacks of the VAR (vidoe assistant referee) system. In groups, they learn how to think like engineers and design a VAR set-up for a football stadium. Includes links to video clips showing various aspects of VAR.
